In 2019 we will begin work on an innovative, user-centred digital portal on intercultural theatre practices. The site, in both French and English will house concepts and practices of working with cultural diversity in the rehearsal hall from contributors across Canada. Interactive tools including web documentary will engage the users in a creative environment to explore and rethink the potential of intercultural and transcultural work. The portal will serve as a resource for practitioners, academics and citizens alike who are looking to find and share reflections on, and examples of, working with difference in the theatre, as well as tools for creating culturally-engaged rehearsal spaces. The project is a partnership between Modern Times Stage Company, the Professional Association of Canadian Theatres, le Conseil québécois du théâtre and the Canadian Association of Theatre Research.
